Immanuel Lutheran ("Ev. Luth. Immanuels Schule") was the German Lutheran parochial school serving East Dundee's German immigrant community — the same congregation whose 1850s arrival and church-building the Encyclopedia of Chicago credits as the origin of East Dundee's distinct German identity, separate from West Dundee's Scottish character. The 1904 Holtz–Mueller Marriage, Dundee, 1904 was very likely officiated at this congregation.
