Charles E Griffith

Charles E. Griffith (born December 7, 1853, Ontario County, New York) was a longtime Kane County resident and business figure who spent his formative years farming in Dundee Township before building a career in manufacturing. Known Activities

Griffith came to Kane County, Illinois in 1865 at approximately twelve years of age, receiving his early education in the public schools of Dundee Township. He grew to manhood on a farm in the township, gaining the agricultural background common to many of his contemporaries in the region. In 1873, Griffith became connected with the Illinois Iron & Bolt Company, a manufacturing concern operating in Kane County.
